Hello friends!
Many of you were with us last year when we came up with the concept of a Sugar Kissed Christmas.
We wanted to put together a vintage inspired theme using our favorite Christmas color scheme of
red and pink. During the next month, we'll pre-empt Twyla Tuesday and Barbie Wednesday so we can
bring you lots of Sugar Kissed ideas!
Be sure to check back often. We'll be posting every day with lots of fun crafts, decorations and
give aways!
Do you like our new Sugar Kissed banner? We love it!!! It was created for us by Kris of Blissful Elements.
We think it is quite perfectly us! Feel free to grab the button on our sidebar!

I thought it would be fun to start off this Christmas season of crafting with a tag tutorial!
I started by taking a manila tag and covering it with a layer of Tattered Rose Crackle Paint. This crackle paint is by Tim Holtz and it's a really pretty light vintage pink! The crackling looks so cool!
I then cut a 2 3/4 x 5 piece of patterned paper and cut out the vintage valentine out.
I distressed the edges of the pink snowflake paper. You can create this distressed look by running the edge of an open pair of scissors along the edge of the paper. I then glued this piece to the center of my tag.
I then took a pencil and marked dots in a swirl pattern at the top of the tag.
Then went over the dots with silver glitter glue.
While the glitter is drying, take red glitter glue and outline the girl's scarf. I then took a snowflake button that I found at Hobby Lobby and glue it over the clover.
I then punched 2 small holes in the lower left corner of the tag and tied a small red bow threw the holes.
I then added a strip of small white pom pom trim along the bottom. I stamped the number 25 in red ink at the top corner of the tag and also stamped the words: The Season's Greetings in brown ink.
I hope you enjoyed this first tutorial!
Wishing you happiness, Lindsey
