I am on my way to bed and saw this and got all tickled inside. Sunday is my birthday and what a cute greeting card. I feel like you were the first to wish me happy birthday. Just what I needed. Thanks for sharing!!
Well, I was born in '69, but certainly remember seeing women still sporting some of these styles. Up until a few years ago, my best friend's mom wore a huge beehive on top of her head. What made it funnier is her name is Bea!
That card really did take me back. Looks just like something I might have received or sent many years ago. Soo cute. Thanks for the smile this morning.
Hi Twyla-oh I remember those hair dos (or hair don'ts). I also looked at some earlier posts and saw the Barbie one. I was a big fan of playing Barbies back in the 60's...I had the outfit she's wearing (the soda shop one). I still have it and her and the booklets that show the outfits, plus some other stuff. Love the Halloween post, too. thanks for visting and following and I am following you now, too. gail
Hi Twyla and Lindsey! Love that vintage card and that tray you did is somethin else! Is that company only on line with the 1930's inspired paper or would I find it at Michael's or JoAnn's? You all inspired me do try my hand at creating my placemats combining vintage look papers as frames, vintage textiles as madallions and hand-embroidery accent.
This really brings back memories! And it's my sister's birthday this week! I'll try to do something with this card for her! Thanks! And have a wonderful week! ♥
Adorable!! Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute card. It looks like something one of my sisters would have given to me...or vice-versa! Thanks for another trip down memory lane.

ReplyDeleteMy mama always told me your hair dresser knows you for sure!
ReplyDeleteFAN-tastic! Love the watercolored wrapping-paper-ish design with the subtle black lines and tons of color... the 1960's truly are the best ;)
ReplyDeleteHow cute...my birthday was Saturday!

Oh yes! Let's let our hair down! :)
ReplyDeleteHi ladies,
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet card.......I was 7 years old at that time! I didn't care much about hairdo's then.
Hugs,
