Hello dear friends!
It seems that I have some exciting news myself!
I was enjoying the latest issue of Artful Blogging magazine when:
to my surprise-
My eyes fell on this lovely picture!
My work was in the pages of Artful Blogging!!!
When we opened our etsy shop, dear Kali, of Poppy Lane was my very first
customer! She purchased this hotpad and dishcloth from me and she had shared this beautiful
photo on her blog.
I am a long time admirer of Kali and was so honored when she wanted to order something from Me!
I love how she arranged the pretty saucers with my crochet pieces.
I got so excited, in fact, that I got busy and made a few more of these hot pads/pot holders.
They are now in our etsy shop. I actually crochet a hanger on the back of these so
you can hang them. They are double thickness and perfect for
sitting hot things on if you aren't afraid to use them!
Loving pink, blue and yellow together, this one is my favorite!
One of my favorite things to share with you are my latest finds.
Marygold is an artist that Lindsey and I really love. She was art deco artist. I discovered this one in an
antique shop where the owner obviously didn't know how prized they are because I got it
for a very good price. Normally, we just long for them if we are lucky enough to even see one!
This one is called Love's Siesta.
Another cute little find was this Little Red Riding Hood planter. It is dated 1956 and was
made by Napco.
The heat is still with us here in Missouri and is pretty unbearable at times.
When it is 20 degrees outside I am going to be longing for these lazy, hazy days of summer.
Okay, maybe not.
Have a beautiful day, dear ones!
Twyla
That's so excitng for you!! I hadn't ever seen her blog...thanks for introducing her.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to you! I love your knitted items. I was so thankful for the pair of orance knitted slippers that you made for me when I had my liver surgery. Meant so much to me!! Hugs! :)

I'm so frustrated.....your images aren't coming through. I've gotta' get my husband on this and figure it out. Would you mind horribly sending me your images to my email??? I know it's a huge inconvenience, but I would really appreciate it. I don't know why it's your blog only, but I'll get it figured out.

ReplyDeleteGlad you got another little red riding hood for your collection!
I've never met Kali. Thanks for the intro.
Sorry for the whiny letter yesterday. I feel much better now! ♥
WOW...you and Lindsey are FAMOUS!!! Love the photo and your new potholders are pretty. Great idea, that they can hang! They would look sweet hanging above the stove!
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday!
Congrat's!!
Warmly,
Deb :)
I love the way your hotpad and cloth are photographed...very charming! You two girls are certainly a dynamic duo...that's why we are all drawn here. I'm sure it was a thrilling sight to see something you made featured in the magazine. I need to go find a copy.
ReplyDeleteThe Red Riding Hood is adorable!

Congrats on your photo debut in Artful Blogging! And, on finding that vintage artwork! Those are pricey. The Red Riding Hood is too cute.
ReplyDeleteIt's already well over 85 here in Cincinnati heading to 98 to over 100 with the heat index.
I'm sorry I know its hot ,but another winter like last..ugh...I love the summer nights with the crickets, tree frogs, frogs, even the sounds of locust and flys hummin by during the day I absolutley miss that in winter.
Oh, how fun! I know that I would have probably peed my pants. LOL
ReplyDeleteSmiles,
Teresa
Twyla!!! I just love that your work was once again selected for ARTFUL BLOGGING! You and your daughter are both so talented, it's just wonderful that you are being recognized. Wishing you both many more sweet joys and surprises! And...have a lovely day!
ReplyDeleteBIG JOYFUL HUGS!

How lovely that your friend included some of the things you made for her in the photos! Your hot pads really are gorgeous!! And I love the little red riding hood planter too. Yes, this heat is awful! It's rather funny when we think of low 90's as comfortable... but it really does feel great after temps in the 100's. :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day!
Congratulations! Your work is so beautiful. No wonder they published it in their magazine. It absolutely makes the picture!
ReplyDeleteSherry @ A Happy Valentine
How fun is that? I'd be pumped and excited too. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteTwyla,
ReplyDeleteOh boy!!!!! Too cute! I will have to see about getting a couple of these! And what a great photo!!!! I have to get that magazine!!!!!!
Twyla, good things have come your way! Your crocheting is wonderfully colorful and perfect with her vintage dishes. Such fun! Have a lovely week! E
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful Twyla and well-deserved. I was unable to find an Artful Blogging mag when I was in the States. I did get a few others (Where Women Create, Room of Bliss) that I am thoroughly enjoying.
ReplyDeleteYour crochet is always wonderful. Best wishes for a beautiful day. Tammy
Congrats. How very exciting! Yipee. Love, love your pot-holders. Dogwood
ReplyDeleteSuper news! Congratulations to YOU!!

Wow...eeee...both mom and daughter are on a roll. Congrats to both of you. That is just awesome. You must have been so shocked to see what you made in a magazine. It must make you feel really special. It's almost like God reached down and picked you and said...your turn!
ReplyDeleteLove and two cheers for the mom~daughter team!
Twyla,
ReplyDeleteYou have the name my Mom picked out for her three daughters to be! She said that she wanted to name daughters "Dawn,Twyla and Starla"; her Mom told all she needed was a moonbeam! I am in LOVE with the Red Riding Hood planter! Each time I see your collection of little girls I am tickled! I found one of the Relpro little girl planters in the last six months of hunting! Adorable!
Would you possibly like to share your pattern for the pot holders? They are so lovely.
