Happy Sunday, everyone!
I hope you are all having a nice weekend.
Today we are sharing another illustration from our vintage children's book.
This little girl's dress and bonnet are just the cutest. I had a red and white polka dot
dress when I was little.
May your day bring happy memories!
Twyla and Lindsey
Wishing you both a happy Sunday!!!

Ahhh, the polka dot: the perfect fashion statement! (And, just as much, I love rick rack, too!) *showers Twyla and Lindsey with Happy Sunday Sprinkles* May a good day be yours!
ReplyDeleteOh' girls I love this picture. Look at the cute little bird in the corner. Those linen books are the nicest!
ReplyDeleteHope ya'll have a beautiful Sunday too. xxxooo's....Tracy :)
Aw, sweet friends having fun- just like us! ☺
ReplyDeleteMicah and i were looking for white and red polka dot fabric at the Goodwill while our house was being showed last night! ♥
Hope your day is as beautiful as this wonderful vintage illustration! Enjoy the colors and the joy!

Coralie
Could that red and white fabric be dotted swiss. I LOVE dotted swiss and which I there was a resurgence of it somehow today so a 55 year old lady could relive that wonderful feel of that fabric! Wish I could find linen childrens books. I have my eye out at auctions for them but just don't seem to find them. Will let you know if I am lucky enough to get a dotted swiss blouse AND a linen childrens book someday! Have a great Sunday. deb
ReplyDeleteSo cute and thanks for your generosity in sharing all of these precious images:) Have a blessed day my friends!

ReplyDeleteLooks like play time to me. I like the little guy blowing his whistle. I can almost hear it. Talent show over on the Piccadilly. I hope the two of you come back and join in the give aways I have, you never know what Gnome may end up at your home.
ReplyDeleteLove this illustration. I actually bought a book for you. Email your addy to me. pkstimpson@yahoo.com and I'll drop in the mail. I put a picture on my blog and you can see the cover. I just know you'll love it too. :) Have a great Sunday!

ReplyDeleteYou are definitely the Queen of Vintage. That picture is just way too cute. I love the bonnet and sweet dress. That sailor suit is so funny. I don't know why it makes me laugh but it does.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy...
Are these not the best books? After I saw your last cute post I went on Ebay and bought two of her books! Number Rhymes and Nursery Rhymes....Florence Salter was an incredible illustrator! Right up our alley, don't you think????
ReplyDeleteThe books were a little pricey, but perfect! And seeing as how they are from 1939 and 1941 it seemed a steal to me!!!!! Love the linen pages! Thanks for sharing and reminding me I had to get these! LOL
Adorable. Any tips on how to organize all those little pieces of paper, trims, die cuts, collage pieces etc.? I feel just overwhelmed. Thanks, Hugs, Kathleen
ReplyDeleteLove the little red dress also. My mom made all my clothes when younger and I think I had one just like it.
ReplyDeleteNow wouldn't I just love a dress and bonnet like that!!

The baby dress in my cedar chest is red and white stripe. That must have been the color back then a long time ago. Thank you for the memories. Have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteAren't those vintage images just the absolute best?
ReplyDeleteLove this vintage picture! Those vintage colors and characters are so wonderful!
