We have our first big snow fall of the season.
This is the view out the back of our house. (This is not our house.)
We had plans to go treasure hunting today, but the wisest thing for us to do is stay home. Lindsey is working on her paper crafts and I am crocheting. Dinner is in the oven.
It's going to be a cozy day.
Have a wonderful Sunday!
Sounds like a nice day to stay inside. The snow is so pretty, send some my way.
ReplyDeleteOH, I wish I could say beautiful but where Iam im about ready for the snow to go for good, lol. We have had many first snow falls.lol.
ReplyDeleteToday it is bitter cold and windy about 10 degrees out.I love snow for the holidays about february Id like to see it go.
Have a great new week!
Lovely photos of the snow blanket. Your day inside sounds so cozy! Keep warm :o)
ReplyDeleteSounds like how we're spending our day as well...under a blanket of fresh white snow...all cozy inside each of doing crafts and enjoying every moment before the holidays are over and work and school start again tomorrow :(
ReplyDeleteFrom the inside there is nothing better than the fairy like snow landscape, especially when you don't have to go out anymore and dinner is prepared! I always start walking very funny and stiff in the snow as I am always affraid to fall and break something, but I sure like the view. We have our second round of snow over here which is extraordinary, we have a lot of winters without snow! Enjoy the view!
ReplyDeleteWe have had more snow today and we have sunshine this afternoon, but it so cold. I have been working on my project with our supper in the crockpot. At least I think I can get around this time. We were drifted in the last time.
ReplyDeleteStaying inside and doing crafts sounds like a safer and warmer thing to do. A good mother/daughter choice. Rosie
ReplyDeleteWe have had so much snow for SO long that I forget how lovely and appreciated it is by those who haven't had much.
ReplyDeleteSo glad I stopped by to see how cozy things are in your part of the country!
no snow in South Texas... and all I can say is...
ReplyDelete"BBBUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!"
Happy New Year! Stay Warm! Dixie
Doesn't it look nice...fresh snow...
ReplyDeleteGlad you stayed home. I stayed in for 2 days and loved it...maybe I am a secret hermit...LOL!!!
Got up to 7 today and we went to the antique store to load up our space.
Warmly,
Deb :)
Yup! Looks like most of us are definitely going to have a winter! Brrrr! ♥
ReplyDeleteRight now, we are having a major snow storm!! (northwest PA)
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful photos. I hope you had a warm, cozy day. The cold reached down into Florida today and I cooked in the oven and stayed inside, too.
ReplyDeleteVery picturesque, until you get outside. In the UK everything comes to a complete standstill, we are just not geared up for even an inch! What a nice way to spend these sorts of days! Crafting and Crocheting. The Crocheting sounds goody good to me ha.ha.!!
ReplyDeleteHappy days!
Hugs and Love Sue UK.
No snow here, but it is very cold. Your snow looks so pretty. Sounds like you have both found the perfect things to do on a snowy day. Stay warm.
ReplyDeletesounds fun...but that is alot of snow....brrrrr
ReplyDeleteSounds wise to stay home today! What a beautiful sight! Reminds me of the view out of our back door when I was growing up in Ohio...ah, memories! Can't wait to see what you find when you do get out & look for treasures! Hope your New Year is just lovely so far!
ReplyDeleteLet it snow, let it snow, let it snow! We had a cozy day with snow too.

Hello Twyla,
ReplyDeleteGood idea to stay home when the snow flies. We do it all the time.
This weekend we have just been below zero. Another good reason to stay home and craft.
Hugs,
Penny

Looks like Frosty the Snowman never left for the Northpole. Hanging out at your house, is his delight. Keeping you company I see! Were looking for a snowman...are you up to it?
ReplyDeleteOh, that snow is so beautiful. The snow we had last month has all melted and we are having a beautiful, blue sky day in California.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day.
Hope you had a cozy day. The snow looks so pretty ... from inside. I must admit I prefer to stay nice and snug indoors and admire it from afar x
ReplyDeleteI would stay cuddled up inside! I was lucky enough to have a week off work when it snowed here! Bliss!
ReplyDeleteYou keep safe!
It's great fun to go treasure hunting but you can't beat a cozy day at home! We had our share of snow last night too so we are staying in and really enjoying our quiet day! I'm working on some paper crafts that I love to do and don't always have time for. It's FUN! Enjoy your cozy times! Hugs, Coralie
ReplyDeleteWell.... just pretend it's glitter.
ReplyDeleteHi Twyla! Gosh it looks beautiful.. as long as I'm on the warm side of the window, looking OUT!!! It is terribly cold these last few days here, and it's all I can stand just to run the dog out in it! He just KNOWS he better go FAST! (0; Stay in and stay warm as much as you possibly can! ~tina
ReplyDeleteAs I sit here in my summer clothes, I envy all that snow! lovely pics of your own winter wonderland. Hugs Naomi
ReplyDeleteThe view out your window shows the perfect reason to stay inside a comfy home and craft to ones hearts content. Have fun and keep warm.
ReplyDeleteMaureen
