Hello everyone! I hope all of you are enjoying this beautiful season.
Today I want to show you a garland that I made. I love yarn balls and think they are pretty. So I decided to use our signature colors of pink and red and make a garland using yarn balls.
Today I want to show you a garland that I made. I love yarn balls and think they are pretty. So I decided to use our signature colors of pink and red and make a garland using yarn balls.
I rolled up several pink yarn balls about 1 1/2" in diameter. I then threaded a double strand of yarn on a darning needle and pulled it through the balls. There is no need to secure the balls they stay in place all by themselves. You can adjust them the way you like them, but I placed mine about 4" apart.
We loved the way they looked arranged on the tree and felt the only other decorations it needed was some candy canes which we were lucky enough to find in pink and red!
We truly hope that you are enjoying the crafts that we are sharing this month. Each of your comments is appreciated and we love to know which projects you really like.
Enjoy the season!
Twyla
Oh I love that idea. How clever and it looks so dainty.Who would of thought that would look so nice.I may have to try that next year.all my trees are decorated. All meaning 2.I will keep this in mind for next years Christmas.
ReplyDeleteThanks a bunch Twiyla for sharing this.Merry christmas!
Twyla that is sorry.Just got in and Im trying to visit people and then go to bed, lol.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh Twyla...
ReplyDeleteSweetie that is just adorable. Who would have thought? It is so festive and fresh looking. I think I would have put a knitting basket on the floor and filled it full of treats or little packages. Would sure look cute. You could have used a few colored knitting needles stuck into the branches here and there. (Element of surprise) How sweet. I love it.
Please stop by and say hi. I love it when you do. I have a new post today that I think you especially will love.
Country hugs...Sherry
Again: thanks for another great idea! Especially when you cannot find a certain color it would be easy to make one out of the right color yarn! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! This is so cute, Twyla!!!! I don't have much experience with yarn so I've never made a yarn ball. Does the end of the yarn stay tucked in the ball or did you secure it in some way?
ReplyDeleteYou better know I've enjoyed this special holiday presentation you girls have put on! One of the highlights of my morning is coming by here! Thank you so much! ♥

I love your yarn balls. I was thinking of using "fur balls" on our tree in honor of Kes (I could have a mess of 'em in no time), but I think I like you idea better. Love the sweet pink, too!
