Hello Friends, I hope you are enjoying the vintage images! They are all so special to me and I am enjoying sharing them with you!
This is a page from a vintage Golden Book.
I love this sweet little red house!
I have had several questions as to what glue I use. So I want to show you my 3 top favorites!
My very favorite is this glue stick! It is my go to glue for everything. It is super sticky, dries quickly yet gives me a few seconds to reposition. It's great for crafters and scrappers!
The best part is that it's available at Wal Mart and Hobby Lobby for $ 1.99.
It is available at Wal Mart and most craft stores.
I also love the ease of double sided tape. This is my favorite and can be found at Wal Mart. I could go through two a week if I let myself!
I hope this has been helpful!
Have a wonderful day, Lindsey
Such precious images, thank you so much!!! I appreciate you stopping by my blog and entering my giveaway ~ and I love that you've shared the glues you love!!! I've got to try the glue stick you mentioned ~ My fave is Fabri-Tac as it glues fabric, baubles, earrings and whatever to my artwork!! Thanks again for visiting me so I could find you ~ xxoo, Dawn
ReplyDeleteI soooo love the images you share! I think we have the same vintage tastes--everything image you post just makes me gasp--thanks so much! Love that sweet little lamb!!! Lindsey--thanks for sharing about the glue stick--I hadn't known about that one...and sounds like we use the double-sided tape about the same--I've DEFINITELY used two or more in a week!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful night, dear friends!
I love vintage Golden books - they have the best pictures!! I hate to tear them out for my projects! I found a wonderful old book at a thrift store the other day - it was a children's book with the large print like the dick and jane books - I can't wait to play with it!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week and thanks so much for sharing!!
xoxo Jess
Thanks for sharing the lovely images and for sharing your glue secrets; I love the tacky glue too, but I don't think that those other two are available here. I love golden books too. Here one of the large supermarkets has a series of golden books decorations; wall hangings, children's services, tins and christmas decorations, like napkins and tablecloths, just lovely!
ReplyDeleteI love all your vintage images. Thanks for sharing! Blessings to you and yours, Tammy :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the images and the glue tips and pics! It means a lot to me that you took the time to put them on here, Lindsey! ♥
ReplyDeleteOh I love the vintage images!! Thank you so much for sharing. I really enjoy creating with them--there is nothing like a sweet vintage image :) I usually don't use a glue stick but I think I will give your favorite a try--that is such a great price. Thanks for the fun tips

Thanks for sharing such lovely vintage images. I'm especially grateful for your adhesive tips. I think that is the most difficult decision I have to make when crafting...what adhesive to use.
ReplyDeleteMaureen
What great information! I need to make a run to Hobby Lobby tomorrow so I'll put a few more things on the list! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI love your vintage piccies Twyla and thanks for sharing your glueing tips. I too use a glue stick, tacky glue and doublesided tape (different brand names downunder) and each has it's own purpose.
ReplyDeleteWarmest hugs,

Thanks for sharing your sweet images with us....I will have fun just posting them on my blog from time to time....one day I may get crafty and have some fun making something special with them....If I ever stop running in circles long enough.....smile.....blessings.
ReplyDeleteDarling pictures. I love them.
ReplyDeleteOh, and thank you so much for the information on your three favorite glues. I am smiling because I have all three of those!
Happiness to you!
I'm making a lovely collection with all the beautiful cards you're sharing!
ReplyDeletethank you!
I'm enjoying all of your projects and the sharing of the vintage images. Love 'em! I agree 100% about the Pioneer glue stick. It was the only brand we carried when I worked at the scrapbook store..I use it all the time. Well that, and my ATG tape guns. I think I need a holster! Great job ladies!

Honestly, I have not found a glue that is just perfect but am so glad to have some tips from you! I'll try the Pioneer brand and hope that works for me. I often use the sticky tape runners and like those a lot but have not been excited with Elmer's Glue for anything that I want to stay glued! This is really helpful! (I also love those vintage graphics)! Thank you! Coralie
