Hello my blog friends!!!
What a wet Labor Day weekend we are having here in Missouri. Earlier in the week when it was sunny Mom and I went to a couple of flea markets!
One of my favorite finds was this old high chair. I have been admiring it for awhile and when we went the other day it was half off so I knew then it was coming home with me! Here is a close up of the decal on the front.
Isn't it sweet?! I love the little cottage!
I also found an old ironing board. It is white with black legs. It has this old label on the top which I think is super cool!
I rarely ever find old Tally cards but that day I found several along with a couple old cards and a postcard.
I found an old stationary box, too. Jolly Notes! I hope every note wrote with this stationary was jolly!
I've heard of Dennison crepe paper from other blogs but I have never found any until this week. I love the packaging! I think it looks very Art Nouveau. I wish I knew what year this was from?
Oh, you found some great things! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI hope both you and your mom have a great weekend!
Hugs from Florida,
Donna
Oh~lalala! Good stuff. I love the high chair. I remember seeing those when I was younger with the cute picture on them. I have also seen cribs and dressers with sweet painted pictures. I hope to get to some garage sales this weekend. I remember Dennison crepe paper also. Oops...I sure am showing my age tonight. Have a nice fun weekend. Dogwood
ReplyDeleteGoodness, I am so behind on commenting!I feel a little better today so I will try to catch up a little.Lindsey, your doll suitcases are wonderful! I have doll trunks, but I have never seen the suitcases with sweet pictures on the front. Love your baby planter - I collect those myself. I try to look for unusual ones, not your average block or bootie, although I love those and have some of them, too. Anything baby has always attracted me. I am pretty sure my baby highchair looked very similar to yours. I don't know what happened to it, but I remember a decal.Your Barbies are interesting. I was in WM last week and noticed they are putting out Christmas toys. There was a Christmas Barbie and Kelly. It was not very expensive. Wish I could have that pretty Barbie bedroom, at least those pretty round pillows. Don't you know my husband would let me have that? Twyla-I LOVE your birdcage & the beautiful vignette you put together in a jar!Love, Sarita
ReplyDeleteI ran put of room - just wanted to mention that I love Irmi, too. In 1974, when I was expecting our first baby, I bought a Humpty Humpty lightplate cover. Still have it - have used it for all our children and it is in my dollroom now. I have also acquired ovr the years 3 Irmi mobiles.I just can't believe that Twyla and you love so many of the same things I do!
ReplyDeleteHave a good holiday! Sarita

Fabulous stuff - as usual!! I am always envious of your great finds. We have the old wooden highchair from when my husband and his brother were babies. But it's not quite as cute as yours!
