This is a picture of the original Ruby Slippers. See how dark they are? They were made using dark red sequins because of the Technicolor. Bright red sequins made the shoes look orange while dark red sequins made the shoes perfect!
Are you ready to follow the yellow brick road? If you haven't signed up yet for the Gala there is still plenty of time!!!!
Designer Tarina Tarantino created a beautiful Wizard of Oz line recently. I thought it was very inspiring!
I love this photo. It does not show off the jewelry very well but I love the stairs leading up to the Emerald city.
I hope that I have inspired you today! The Gala is on August 22nd!!!!!!!!
The official Wizard of Oz website is also really awesome!
We are still accepting participants if you would like to join!
Happy crafting, Lindsey and Twyla
Oh, no - perhaps I misunderstood? Were you supposed to be making something in order to participate? I was just going to write a post about The Wizard Of Oz on that day.
ReplyDeleteHeidi Ann, no, you don't have to make anything. You can just share your Wizard of Oz memories or show your collection of Oz memorabilia. You can even throw a party! Your idea is perfect and you're right on track. Twyla and Lindsey
