Hello Everyone!
While walking through a flea market Sunday, I found what is featured in today's post. A beautiful Vintage Barbie box!!!
This box is from 1962 and was produced for a Blonde Bubble Cut Barbie.
It's in such lovely condition! I am going to display it next to my 1961 Ken box I received for Christmas.
I could not believe my luck for finding this box! For only $3.50!
I was happy that it was made for a doll that I had.
The Blonde Bubble Cut was one of my first dolls I added to my collection.
Here is a Ken that I placed along with my Ken box. It's neat to see the differences in the boxes for Ken and Barbie.
Here is a close up of the front of the Barbie box. I love these sweet little graphics.
The original price tag is still on the side of the box. She was only $2.27 in 1962.
Here is photo of the side of the box.
Thank you for reading and commenting on my new blog!
Wishing you fun, Lindsey

Wow, what a good deal you got, Lindsey! Such neat graphics on the box! I love the pinkish ball gown.
ReplyDeleteSo I guess the boxes didn't always have that weird celophane stuff on the front. Aren't you glad? ♥
Hi Lindsey
ReplyDeleteGreat boxes and great dolls. I expect some boxes are worth more than the dolls now as the boxes will be rarer.
Best Wishes
Lindsay

ReplyDeletewow! the box is in great condition...what's even nicer is you have a barbie that is from that time that fits in it. What a nice set to have ken and barbie and their boxes. What a neat find.....I wish the price of barbies would go back down to2.27 then I could have EVERY single one I want!!! LOL : ) hugs, Jennifer I love Barbie Wednesdays!!
ReplyDeleteThis sure brought back a lot of memories. Around 1959 or 1960 maybe, when Barbie had just came out in the stores I bought my niece a Barbie doll and so many clothes. I recognize the pink satin gown with the white fur stole I wish she had hung onto some of it. I think I paid two or three dollars for Barbie. The outfits were so cheap back then.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed this post even if I don't have a single Barbie thing.
Iris
