Happy Easter everyone! I hope it's been a pleasant day so far. It's been a wet and rainy day for us!
We headed out on a road trip yesterday in search of what else? Flea markets!!!! So we drove up highway 13 and here is what our view looked like most of the way.
This is where we stopped for lunch. It's a wonderful family owned restaurant. They are famous for their pork tenderloin sandwiches. They're big and yummy!
At our first flea market stop I found this beautiful figurine.
The next stop I found this box of vintage Christmas cards and a couple of patterns.
We had lots of fun along our journey but our best finds came from the last flea market we stopped at!
Mom found this beautiful cookie jar!

It was a great day and we plan to do it again soon!
Wishing you happiness, Lindsey and Twyla

Hello Ladies... Ohhhh how I wish I'd been tagging along with y'all... Sounds like another fun outing! We always enjoy a chance to eat at a Family Restaurant... often we'll select something from their daily specials... and I always ask for sweet iced tea with lemon... Love fresh iced tea! The ceramic girl is such a sweet figurine... did I notice a hint of blue eye shadow to match her blue roses?! Great patterns for your collection... I remember wearing those teeny mini skirts/dresses... that was a long, long time ago... LOL ... And, I agree with Deb... you hit the "Mother-Load" of Vintage cards! Amazing!! Hope you're both doing well... and, Twyla, do let us know what type of cookies you bake to put into your new jar!
ReplyDeleteGod bless...

I think I love your flea market days the best! I wish you could see the HUGE antique malls in Ohio! The state fair grounds also hold the Scott Antique Flea Market every Saturday. I have got to save more pennies together for Saturdays such as yours! Thank you so much for your sweet comments on my blog! I think like your blog, I will only post 3 days a week and have different topics for the days. Thank you for all your inspiration. !
ReplyDeleteThat china girl is just precious - I love her. and the Christmas cards and other cards are apectacular finds. Plus that cookie jar! You two had a great vintage weekend at the flea markets!I used to wear mini skirts(a lot of pounds and 30+ years ago!).
