Yarn Love

Hello sweet friends!

My little dog, Barney, is just as
crazy about yarn as I am!

I am always taking pictures of him with
my yarn because he looks so adorable!

To him, a skein of yarn is a pillow.

He's my sweet little buddy!
It was a cold winter so I let his fur grow.
Soon he will be going to the groomer!

Happy April!
I hope you all are having
a wonderful week!
Love, Twyla

Barn Charm

Hello sweet ladies!
I'm so glad sring is here, I just wish
it felt more like it!

I managed to photograph a barn
or two this winter, but I prefer to when
the trees are pretty!

I think these capture the coldness
of winter.  It's the same barn from
different angles in Newton County, MO.

Have a most wonderful day!
Love, Twyla

New Issue of Create Magazine!!!!

Hello dear friends!
The third issue of Create magazine that I am so thrilled to design for is ready to view and download. This free magazine has over 200 pages of papercrafting awesomeness.

Here is a look of one of the projects I contributed to this issue-

The magazine focuses on sketches -- providing four free layout, card, and tag sketches designed by Allison Davis and Debbie Sanders each month -- but there is so much more!

CREATE features a different manufacturer's design team every month. For February, the Teresa Collins design team has created lovely layouts, cards, and tags using the SG sketches.

Wishing you a lovely day, Lindsey

Afghan Obsession!

Hello dear friends!

It seems that I have an obsession.
I just can't stop making blankets!
We have blankets coming out our
ears, I tell ya!

This is my latest!
I wanted to do something really
different from what I usually do.

I have a love of gingham and decided
to try my hand at a gingham pattern.
There are many different patterns on the
internet, but I decided to make up my
own very easy version.

I crocheted it in rows and then sewed the
rows together.  It worked up really quick!
I used the half double crochet stitch throughout
because it gives it a nice weight.

The idea I had from the beginning was
that I wanted a shocking border color.
Hobby Lobby's I Love This Yarn's
'Hot Rose' color was just what I wanted!

I just love the gingham effect it has!
I absolutely love playing with yarn and
experimenting with color!
I'm already wondering what to start
on next!

There's been a lot of sitting around this winter
and too many cookies, ahhh, the cookies . . .
I need to get back to my walking and hopefully
will be able to soon!

Have a wonderful week!

Twyla
